Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church is a community under the Direct Archdiocesan District in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, under the care of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
Adult Greek Language School
For the NYS tri-city Greek Orthodox Churches School Year 2023-2024 will begin on the Wednesday after Labor Day via Zoom. It comprises 30 sessions and ends before mid-May. The tuition is $300 per student. This includes the textbook for the first time a student takes any of the classes. The book is Modern Greek 8th Edition by Theodore Papaloizos. Greek Night at Citi Field
On Friday, September 29, AHEPA District 6 is sponsoring Greek Night at Citi Field for the last NY Mets game of the regular season. The evening will include the national anthem sung by the Archdiocesan Cathedral Youth Choir, traditional Greek dancing by AMC Dancers, and a parade. Over 500 Greeks are expected to be in attendance to show off our Greek pride. Troy AHEPA Chapter 306 is sponsoring a bus trip to the game, accommodating 50 people. The price per person is $110. The trip includes a ticket to the game, chartered bus transportation to and from the game, and lunch. Tickets are on sale now. Please click below for more information.
